I like to can hamburger meat for quick meals and save on freezer space.. It averages out to a pound a pint.. little less than 2 lbs a quart..

We vacuum seal lots of things in jars. Powdered milk, rice, beans, it is easy to do. We also can(jar) flour
I have had good luck vacuum sealing cereal this way. I've opened some, that had been sealed for a year. It was still fresh and tasted like I had just opened the box.
Time to start buying seeds before they go out of stock.

With the election insanity I’ve been doing what I now call “stress canning”😂 the other day 50 pounds of tomatoes turned into 7 quarts of tomato soup, and 7 quarts and 20 pints of tomato halves.😁
Must be a woman thing. My wife is upset this morning. It is business as usual for me. Feed the stock.
I did the same thing 😊 canned beef stew for the first YUMMY, then took the leftover meat and put in pints. So much Fun 😀
Got lettuce, carrots and radishes out today. Plus reset some garlic into a raised bed.

We are also struggling with clay. Last year our poor garden really struggled. We are hoping to add a lot of compost to the area and try again. I'd love to see what advise everyone has.
Have you checked with your local Ag agent? They should be able to help you.
