“On the day the tabernacle, the tent of the covenant law, was set up, the cloud covered it. From evening till morning the cloud above the tabernacle looked like fire... At the Lord's command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained in camp.”
~Num 9:15,18
God's movement was visible in the Israelites life. They knew exactly where He was & what He wanted.
Today we can feel like God is hidden from us. Like there is a cloud between us. How can we know where He is & what He wants, does He he hear my prayers?
Many are struggling w/ this now.
Let me offer some encouragement.
Nahum 1:7 “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.”
Matthew 10:29,31 “Are not 2 sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care... So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Read these verses again & again. Then shift your focus. Are you telling God what you want & how you want Him to move? Try instead to simply lay out the issues & ask God to be like that cloud, then wait & watch for Him to move. Don't be surprised to find that it is not a big change or provision. Often times I have seen Gods hands move in small steps & stages until my heart was prepared for His will to unfold. An example is times when I had more needs than $ for groceries. God has either provided unexpectedly price lowering, small funds given, another person giving me a gift or a way to live w/out something I thought I had to have. Sometimes we don't see God moving because we are not looking for Him. That is why we are told. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer & petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Phil4:4,6
Keep holding on. 1 more day. ❤
